I've totally been meaning to recap my weekend at Yaoi-Con...and then I forgot. Or put it off. Or both. Anyway, here it is, a brief retelling of my con adventures(?).

Friday I did Yuki from Gravitation---let me tell you, Gravitation was a lot more fun this year than last. I actually really like the way I look as Yuki, whereas Hiro last year just made me sad. The best part of Friday, though, and quite possibly the entire weekend, was my Swap Meet Adventure. This one table at the swap meet had a ton of HALO toys. Which made me retard-happy. I forked over the $15 for the blue one that I then lovingly named Caboose, and got the contact info of the tableowners in case I wanted to buy more and the meet was over. I tell you, it's a damn good thing I got their number! XD We ended up pitching in ten bucks each to get several more, each being me, Tex, Pulse, Haku, Sakura, and Church. Now Tex and I are painting them, and soon we're going to have little Caboose, Church, Tex, Donut, Sarge, and Jr (OH MY GOD THAT ONE MIGHT JUST MAKE ME HAPPIEST OF ALL). They also came with all kinds of fun accessories....like the sword for our nonexistant Tucker, Andy the Bomb, Sarge's shotgun, and Church's sniper rifle. These toys make so goddamn happy
PS - If anyone knows where we can get more 9 in. HALO toys, tell me because we still need Tucker, Grif, Simmons, and Sister. Maybe even Wyoming and Wash, but they aren't as important.
...still kinda sad I didn't buy the little Chupathingy with the red guys in it tho...

Saturday was Halloween, and I had a lot of fun in my Halloweentown Riku! It was exciting to wear a costume that I had basically designed myself, even though the design wasbased heavily on first-game Riku. Hey, HT Sora is based on his normal outfit, why not the same for Riku? X3 Also, I was finally able to give =supernovadobe and *Antiquity-Dreams the present I've been meaning to give them for like ages but failed at giving XD We skipped the masquerade this year, and tried to go to the rave but it wasn't good when we went, and we somehow never made it back to check again. Instead we sat around the Blue Room (one of our hotel rooms, so named because me, Church, Sheila, Tex, Tucker--who is now Simmons--and Sister were all in that room) watching Mormon cartoons and videos about how fucking scary scientology is. They were hilarious. Oh! And drinking orange juice. I DRANK SO MUCH ORANGE JUICE THAT WEEKEND.
~BTW, no offense to anyone of the Mormon persuasion reading this (Cept you, ~FrozenSherbert X3). But if you'd seen that cartoon, you'd laugh too. As for any scientologists reading this....offense. Offense, offense, offense, that religion is crazy and scares the shit outta me.
We also went down to the hottub that night. I brought the HALO toys XD And we discovered that they cannot float D:

Sunday I was Genin Sasuke, and for the first time, I actually spent the day with my Orochimaru. Last two cons we tried to be them together, we ended up spending almost no time in each others' presence. BTW, the Yaoi Positions Panel this year was...just...awful. We headed back home from this con like way earlier than we usually do...habraww. But whatever. It wasn't a big deal.

Overal, YCon this year was okay at best, but the mini adventures my friends and I went on---especially No Pants Time at Rite-Aid and 7-11, and singing at each other through our different-floor windows---were epic.

Now it's breaktime! Or is it?? I haven't touched Ishida (my sewing machine) in two weeks, and I am starting to get very restless. I told myself I needed a break, but now I don't know what to do with myself!! I guess I can start on a couple of the things on my list, if Church doesn't find a way to stop me from working, as he sometimes tries to do when he thinks I need to rest XP Other than that, I guess I'm...looking forward to Sac-Anime in January, to give that con one last chance. Hopefully it will suck less x.x
